With a fine art Master’s degree from the Slade School of Fine Art, and an MA in English literature from the University of York, Emma started out as a theatre set and costume designer.  She has ten years experience working in film and TV art departments in set decorating and art directing roles, and now has a number of production designer and costume designer credits.  She has worked with a number of high profile directors and designers.

Key skills include proven visual judgement; dexterity; a flexible, imaginative approach to problem solving; a thorough knowledge of historical and social detail; organisation; a track record of keeping to a budget and time frame, however tight; and a good sense of humour.
